It's entirely possible that I'm completely missing the point of the picture today but is it really fair to constantly be dumping on the skinny girls? Granted, there are some girls who starve themselves and follow ridiculous exercise regimens in order to look thin (emaciated) yet they end up incredibly unhealthy however at the same time, I know more than a few women that are tall and spindly like this who couldn't gain a pound from healthy eating and Crossfit-style programming if their lives depended on it(they can also eat bucketloads of ice cream and never gain a pound and I hate them for that). Some people are just built the way they're built and have the metabolisms they have and that's the end of it. If this were a comparison of two men, the tall skinny guy wouldn't be getting put down....we may just assume he's a basketball player or something (again, maybe I'm missing the point of the photo). Further, if a girl is just naturally 5'10 and super slim, why SHOULDN'T she take advantage of the fashion industry that wants her look and has found a niche for her body type? Is she to be demonized for that?
My two cents only....
@Josh - First off, I do not think we are constantly dumping on skinny girls, this is prob the 2nd or 3rd picture that has been posted about muscles being more attractive then bones.
Secondly, the vast majority of women are not naturally thin and tall, but yet that is what the media consistently portrays as the "ideal figure". That ideal is unrealistic and makes women feel inadequate. So rather then striving for the tall thin look, females can celebrate the muscularity produced with hard work.
Reference the comment of the tall skinny guy not getting put down, it was posted on the blog here:

Lastly, "fashion industry that wants her look" - that "look" is the exactly why women are self critical and feel defeated as it is unrealistic for the majority of us but yet is still the "ideal".
This picture is not criticizing a person but rather societal standards. As well, half the picture is about exercises. Since we are a CF gym, we celebrate the complicated movements we do and the results produced from them. And mostly importantly, being a CF gym, we know without strength, it is pretty hard to be a CF'er.
oh man, then I TOTALLY missed the point. I thought we were supposed to decide which one looked more pissed off about being left stranded on the pier... poor things...
